- In light of the state’s budget challenges, Illinois Department of Natural Resource officials have notified us that the return date for the World Shooting Complex camping lease extensions (recently mailed to leaseholders with 2015 expiration) will be extended from July 30 to September 30, 2015.
- You may have heard that the Illinois Governor and the Illinois legislature are at odds in dealing with this year’s fiscal budget. Both sides are saying the other needs to cut services or raise taxes. The Governor has stated that one of the cuts COULD be the state’s operation of the World Shooting Complex, effective September 1. We have been assured by IDNR representatives and representatives of the Governor’s office that both sides are still working to find common ground, and hopefully a compromise can be reached to avoid even a temporary suspension of operation of the Complex.
